ABOUT US

WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUR WORK.

THE COMPANY

Located just outside of the city of Helen, we have been able to offer countless guests with exciting adventures. We started out in 2012 as ZipNTime, offering just zip line tours. Each year we have added new activities such as our giant swing, tree houses, and most recently a 3 level challenge course. Eventually, we re-branded to Nacoochee Adventures to encompass all the activities we offer, but we are still the original owners and operators.

We not only offer sense of adventure, but also a unique experience. Our staff's number one priority is you! They undergo continuous safety and communication training to ensure you have the best trip possible. In addition, our location allows us to incorporate the varied history of the area to heighten your experience with us. Learn about the Native American inhabitants, to the 1800s area gold rush, to the moonshine makers during prohibition. (We are also great resources on things to do, places to see, and most importantly where the best places to eat are).

What we feel sets us apart from the rest is our staff, and their continual push for excellence.

MEET THE STAFF

SAFETY

While most activities you participate in involve some risk, we try to take every step to ensure that we minimize the risk as much as possible. With certified guides, strict policies, and the best equipment available on the market we will provide you with a fun adventure at the most minimal risk possible.

All of our guides are required to complete and pass an onsite training that is in accordance with industry standards. In initial training, guides receive their level 1 site-specific certification. Guides must complete a 40 hour on site training and pass a written and oral skills test. This must be renewed each year with documented 50 hour program experience and a skills audit. Once 300 hour program experience is documented, guides can be come level 2 or "senior guide" certified.

We undergo 4 types of inspections in accordance to industry standards. In each case, structures, equipment and the environment are examined.

1. Daily- visual inspection of the course to determine usability

2. Continuous- constantly checking the operational condition of the course and equipment through use

3. Monthly- certified course manager inspects the course and performs any needed maintenance

4. Annually- an outside certified professional inspector audits the course and equipment

Weather can also play a factor in course usability. We check local and national weather stations each morning to determine conditions. We also monitor radar throughout the day to ensure each tour is conducted or postponed at the proper time.

We take safety very seriously. Here are a few steps you can take to ensure your time with us is well spent.

1. Ask questions if you feel unsure about instructions or situations.

2. Disclose any medical or pertinent information that may hinder you on the course.

3. Empty your pockets of sharp objects or valuables.

4. Remove any jewelry and refrain from loose fitting clothes that could be caught.

5. Wear closed-toe shoes.
